That was harsh...
Do you ever listen to a song thinking you know what the lyrics are only to find out later that you were WAY off?
The Rob Thomas song "Lonely No More" is about how he wants a solid relationship and wants to find his soulmate. There's a line in it, "Open up to me, like you do your girlfriends".
For months, I thought Rob was very harsh and demanding. I thought the line was "Open up to me, or I can do your girlfriends".

Ha, that is too funny!
I've done that before, but I can't think of any specific songs...funny how we hear things.
I've done that more times than I can count.
The one I can remember off the top of my head is back in the 90's when Third Eye Blind came out with Semi-Charmed Kind of Life and I thought they said Cemetary Kind of Life.
I think there are entire webpages devoted to this stuff.
